Foreclosure Opportunities Inside the Gates

Inside the gated area of South Shore Harbor, residents are constantly improving their homes to keep their home beautiful and the neighborhood nice. New landscaping, new windows, new pools, are just some of the improvements that give homeowners confidence that the quality of our neighborhood is not going to degrade. Unfortunately, some people have lost their homes to foreclosure.

While this is sad for those individuals, it presents a financial opportunity for someone to purchase a home in our neighborhood at a bargain price. Our neighborhood is one of the best values in League City. You can find many large houses, close to the golf course for affordable prices. If you have friends looking to upgrade their home or you are interested in an investment in real estate, look no further than your own back yard.

OK MARC!!! LISTEN UP!!!

I'm gonna sell my tree house and move right next to you inside the gates. Then I'm gonna throw nuts at you when you go out to your maroon van in the mornings.

Do you think they will let this nut have a membership to the golf course?

NUTS OUT!!

Dear Nuts,
That satellite picture with the maroon van is really old. I can’t afford the gas for that big beast anymore. Yes, they will be glad to sell you a membership to the golf course; they are not allowed to keep squirrels out anymore.

OK MARC!!! LISTEN UP!!!

So you sold the maroon love machine?

Since you are now inside the gates, you had better be driving the Beemer or the E series, otherwise they will send you a deed restriction letter..."Dear Mr. Edelman, section 4, paragraph 6 states, "Residents must have at least one German engineered vehicle in the driveway...please comply with this or we will have to move you outside of the gates where the undesirables live."

Somehow I may not be far from the truth on this one!...but at least you don't have your nose in the air like alot of those snobs.

NUTS OUT!!

South Shore Harbor is experiencing a renaissance of sorts. Many young X couples with small children and boomers such as myself are seeing the value in these older larger homes. They are purchasing them and the fixing the homes up. There is lots of landscaping and interior remodeling going on inside the gates here. These homes are well built and spacious and a great buy for a neighborhood on the golf course. The taxes in south shore are lower than many of the newer subdivisions. For example
These are approximate figures

4300 sq ft house south Shore owner Occupied $6000.00 including MUD per year

4300 sq ft New house new South Shore area subdivision $20,000.00

It is a deal in South Shore.

And I can help with that Marc! As you know I live acoss the street from your dad, there are several houses within a couple of blocks that are having either their landscaping redone and/or their house remodeled inside and out. It is much cheaper to remodel than go out an buy a new house. Most of these homes have great floor plans and just need updating. We have great neighbors. specially Milton. I just wish he would quite throwing beer cans in my yard. There are some deals to be had and now is the time to buy. When the market improves so will the prices.
